We celebrated the festival with full enthusiasm and happiness. We started our day with a dip in Ganges. My father have bought kites from the market which we enjoyed flying in the air in the afternoon. The friendly competition of kite flying brought back nostalgic memories of our childhood celebrations. My mother prepared a variety of traditional sweets at home which we enjoyed eating throughout the day.
My mother also created a vibrant rangoli designs outside our home to add a festive touch. In the evening we visited the local temple to seek blessings for the upcoming year.
